I was interested from the outset here - Barbera from Cabernet country.
A handy wine reaching out with some complexity and richness. Fifteen months in French oak has played its hand. A little warm in the mouth, perhaps a tad overripe. Plums, sour cherries and tomato leaf roll through with a deft touch of spice. Mouthfeel is soft and long with good acidity whipping up the tail.
Good going all up.
Drink now and over the short term.
