A new release under the old label - I prefer the old look much more to the revised version, but that's just me.
The fruit is sourced from Mudgee and made by Liz Jackson at the First Creek winery.
Mulberry and red fruits gets my attention here. Red apple skin too. A solid drink without the show. Vanilla from the older oak peers through though leaving enough in reserve to be coaxed out. A neat dusting of peppery spice adds another layer of interest. A little drying to finish but ideal to accompany a good slab of protein.
Drink now to five years.
